The injured feet is the most important chronic complications of diabetes, diabetic patient may suffer from many problems in his feet, even simple ones could turn into a serious.

Cases leading to injury of feet:
Poor circulation;
Neuropathy and poor sense of pain, heat and cold;
Foot ulcers that may result from wounds, pimples or inappropriate footwear.

Risk factors for foot injury:
Happen recurring in foot ulcers ;
Chronic disease for ten years or more, such as heart and circulatory diseases;
Age 40 years or more;
Smoking;

Failure to control blood sugar;
Inability to Foot Care because of physical or mental illness;
Lack of cleanliness of feet and lack of attention to them;
The presence of deformities in feet.

How you can take care of your feet?
Examine your feet well every day in search of scratches, abrasions, sores, redness, or any change in skin, always check out among toes.
If your vision is weak ask for give a hand from one of your family members to examine your feet.
Wash your feet daily with soap and warm water and dry it well.
Avoid to use water is warm, not very warm or very cold.
Avoid immersion foot in water for a long time.
Be sure to massage feet and legs from time to time.
Do not use chemicals to remove centuries.
Use lotion creams to soften skin areas and coarse solids.
Avoid walking barefoot .
Use comfortable shoes for feet and make sure that they are made of soft material and larger than usual size to use.
Prefer to use cotton or woolen socks and should not be stressful.
Not to sit close to sources of heat for long time or exposed to extreme cold.
